Our School Programmes

Programmes

School Hours: For preschool and kindergarten, school hours are:
7:30am – 1:00pm daily
For Elementary 1-5 school hours are:
7:30 – 3:00pm (Mondays-Thursdays)
7:30 – 1:00pm (Fridays only).

ACADEMICS

fun –filled, stimulating and comprehensive classroom activities to develop the cognitive, effective and psychomotor domains of the children. All academic programmes end at 1:00pm.

SCHOOL MEALS

Apart from providing an incentive for pupils to attend school and alleviating short term hunger, our feeding scheme creates an emotional environment that fosters love and sharing. pupils are given snacks as Brunch and proper meal for lunch

EXCURSION:

Excursions, field trips and outdoor learning are termly activities at Brain Child. This will help pupils to see the connection between education, vocation and career development.

CULTURAL DISPLAY:

This builds cross-cultural education as children are dressed in different cultural attire. Identity and patriotism are also developed.

SPORTS:

Interest in basketball, Table tennis, board games, football, races, aerobics and so on

MUSIC:

This develops talents and skills in musical instruments (drum, keyboard, violin, guitar, flute, trumpet and saxophone), the orchestra or voice training (choir).

CRAFT

Bead making, knitting, creative arts and painting

CATCH-UP:

One-on-one tutoring programme to support low achievers and improve performance.

GIFTED AND TALENTED:

Accelerated learning programme to continually inspire the talented pupils for optimum performance and inter-school competitions.

OPEN HOUSE/PTA:

A termly forum that provides a unique opportunity for detailed and candid interactions between teachers and parents. This platform encourages sincere critiques, suggestions and recommendations for better performance. It is also an opportunity for the development of parenting skills.

CLUBS:

Pupils are organized in clubs to learn team work, communication, organizational skills, leadership and other social skills through role-playing, group activities and project execution. The clubs available are: • Music • Culinary • Public speaking • Igbo club • Dance • Swimming While swimming is compulsory for all pupils, each child is expected to choose any other two clubs from the list of club activities as scheduled from 1:00pm – 2:30pm Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
